Well hello there old friends. Wow, I really got off the blogging train, didn't I? I'm not going to sit here and pretend like I'm going to start blogging daily again, but I did want to pop by. First off, I wanted to let you all know that there is now a "shop" as part of modern sequins. yayyyy! I've always wanted to sell a few curated items on this site, and I finally got it together and did it. My mom and I made a few handmade goods (including some adorable 100% alpaca baby beanies) and I'm really excited to be sharing them with you here. So, take a look HERE and let me know what you think.

Well I did jump on the bandwagon earlier this year and purchase a pair of overalls. And I would like to admit that I love them. Yep, there I said it. Hmmmmm, now my eyes have narrowed in on this faux leather version. It remains to be seen if I will also take the plunge on these. But while I'm at it, I also added in a few accessories that would be perfect additions to this outfit.

Well hello there October. You crept up on me. But I must admit that I am SO excited that fall is here and I feel like my wardrobe and beauty routine are slowly starting to transition. Ummm and when I spotted these booties online I may have squealed a bit. I mean, I must admit that I haven't actually tried these on yet, but you best believe that I will be running to the nearest f21 to see if they are comfy, cause they are pretty darn cute (and only $42.80)! Every year I stock up on these Target tights cause they are the best I've ever found. Yeahhhh, here's to fall layers on a shopping budget. p.s. I always end up buying beanies from the guy's section. I just love the slouchy fit wayyy better then the lady's versions.

When I'm heading out the door for dinner, I most often reach for a clutch to throw in all of my necessities (ie. lipstick, phone, keys, etc). Whether it be white and subdued or a pop of color, I really can't seem to get enough. Here are few that have recently caught my eye. Eeeekkk, is it bad that I want all four? A girl can dream.

What the what, it's been far too long since I've posted a modern budget piece, so here I am. After the fun filled wedding weekend, we hopped on the road and you know I just had to stop by a Target and try to snag a purse from the latest collaboration with Phillip Lim. Unfortunately I was too late and they were all sold out, but I did pick up these booties and they are insane! They will be in heavy rotation this fall. And what would I pair with these shoes? My two favorite looks as of late are the floral dress and black/white ensemble. Hello fall time, I am so ready for you!

When I'm reaching for a pair of pants, I'm almost always drawn to the relaxed-slouchy pant. I mean, is it acceptable to admit that it's kind of like wearing your pjs outside?!? They are seriously that comfy and I can't seem to get enough. And I'm really loving that bow detail on the black pair. Come to me pretty please.

Are you more of a fedora or floppy hat wearing person? I can't decide for myself. I love both. Depending on my mood (and how my hair is acting that day), I like to change it up a bit. I purchased this fedora and am kind of obsessed. I think it's a great transition accessory as we head into fall.
